It is commonly thought by most people that wolves live in packs with a fixed structure with a male one "alpha" and the frequent problems your domain, etc. This is wrong view of the behavior of the wolf at all.
The structure of wolf society can vary considerably, with some wolves alone and some that live in large packs. The real story is that a wolf pack is a single pair and their offspring, it would be more accurate to call a "family nuclear "in a hierarchy.
Wolves in Asia are generally less sociable than in the U.S. and Europe, and are more likely to live in pairs or as individuals they occasionally meet and socialize.
A typical wolf pack is about 8 individuals, although up to 36 wolves have been seen in a package (of Alaska). The size a pack of wolves depends on many things like the amount of food available and the personalities of individual wolves in the pack.
