It is predicted that the new Nintendo DSi hamdhelds be one of the best selling in 2009. The DS is currently the biggest selling console in the market, even surpassing the 7 House three-generation consoles. In Japan, the DSi white and black combined sold over 170,000 units in the first 48 hours after the product goes on sale. It is estimated that sales could have been even higher but the system was sold out in many stores before the launch – a trend that seems to happen a lot with Nintendo products. After of just one month the combined sales of black and white DSi reached more than half a million. Still has a long way to go to reach 24.2 million DS units sold in Japan, but it certainly gives life in systemwide sales.
As with previous series consoles, the latest edition will initially be available in two colors, white and a black version of the Nintendo DSi. In the U.S. there is a light Black and Blue versions. You should expect more colors that will appear in the future, as was the case with the original DS and DS Lite. The most popular color for the DS Lite is pink version so that when there is a rose waiting DSi that is selling well.
Nintendo DSi Console was officially unveiled in October, just a month before its Japanese release. In the UK and USA the release date has been written on April 3, for Pre-order sale of DSI Nintedo are already being taken and most online stores have set a limit on the number of console that can be asked per household. We included some very feature enhancements functional, as the screen brighter, but focused primarily on appearance. Nintendo DSi consoles on the other hand requires less of a visual improvement, although it has some nice touches but mainly focuses on new forms that can use the system – including 2 cameras compared to the Nintendo DS Lite.
