Game booths are basically cabinets that contain low-end computers and are sometimes painted and decorated to resemble the real retro arcade machines. The team is hidden inside the cabinet by opening a lock and key, if the PC has to be removed for any reason. Often a joystick or game pad is firmly attached to the control cabinet. But if these are not available, a keyboard or mouse can be used as replacement. A frame of the cabinet is built around the screen, which is slightly deeper in the cabinet at an angle upward to resemble the authenticity of an arcade machine for easy viewing as well.
The team itself does not need to have impressive specs or hardware – just the basics is enough. Any second-hand equipment, or an old one that is there's going to work. All requirements for such a 'team cabinet "is:
1) A basic monitor that can fit in the cabinet. (a TV can be used to improve the authenticity)
2) A simple keyboard and mouse work.
3) Any processor of age (including a 166 MHz Intel Centrino would)
4) A CD-ROM to install the operating system.
5) A USB port to transfer files, or use the CD-ROM.
6) A set speaker to make the game sound and music.
7) A 10 or 20 Gigabyte hard drive.
That's it – no Internet capabilities such as wireless Bluetooth, a modem or Ethernet ADSL broadband is needed. After all, do not have internet access facilities in those days? 
Now, on that computer, a low-end operating system with low system requirements will do, such as Microsoft Windows 98 or Windows Me, or at least Linux distribution (such as Zenwalk). Microsoft no longer supports Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows Me, so you can buy a used copy of Windows off eBay or at any local computer store. Old or unused copies of Windows 98 should cost about $ 30 to $ 50. However, if you want to reduce spending, you can download a free Linux distribution from Internet. Some examples of good, minimalist Linux distributions are Zenwalk, Slax, ZipSlack, or Debian. Read about them on sites like Wikipedia or Distrowatch to see which best suits their needs, but Windows is still a safe bet.
Once the machine has been created with an operating system, which now must be loaded with emulators and roms. Emulators are software programs that run ROM (arcade games). You need emulators since these games do not run natively on Linux or Windows as double click an EXE (an executable).
The best known emulator for all types of arcade games is known as MAME, which works for both Windows and Linux and ROMs for these games can be searched online. The size of ROM files generally are not as large, taking up a few megabytes each. If you want to play laser disc games like Dragon's Lair, Dragon's Lair II, Space Ace, etc., have to use another emulator called Daphne. Note that the ROM file playing for laser disc games occupy a lot of memory, being between 200 megabytes to 1 gigabyte for each game, so you want to see your hard disk space there.
When it comes to actually building the game cabinet, will have plenty of large wooden materials and woodworking tools, or you can order parts of the custom of companies specializing in the sale of game cabinet parts, including wood frames, special TVs, joystick controls and more. You can even buy a complete game plan cabinet under them, or for an empty cabinet pre-built, shipped and delivered to you. The second alternative seems to be a solution cheaper instead of buying new equipment, but the choice is all yours.
