Ubisoft commissioned a variety of ports on the console after the success of the original Far Cry on PC. The company is already ahead of the ball and has announced that PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the second part, Far Cry 2. You can expect a pretty similar gaming experience, as announced so close to the PC version, but no details about the prospect of specific console features.
The news may bother some people, make others happy and not really surprised anyone. Development Ubisoft Montreal Studio is currently working on the next-gen first person shooter, which is due to arrive in the second half of this year. The title promises to immerse players in a "new experience" with a custom-built game engine, created from scratch, only to Far Cry 2.
The original version of the game was released in 2004 by German developer Crytek. It revolved around Jack Carver, stranded on a tropical island and harassed by a group of well-trained, heavily armed mercenaries – the story did not change much when he went to the console. Many of the differences arising from the new skills acquired by Carver after he is captured and cruelly felt by the enemy.
The game, originally called X-Isle: Dinosaur Island, was in development for several years. In 2002 the party changed its name to Far Cry (we're not sure what happened to the dinosaurs). Over time, emerged as a modern shooter without dinosaurs and much more impressive technology. Even then, the hardware 3D game pushed to the limit and provide an excellent benchmark for graphics cards 3D.
Far Cry Vengeance was one of the first games to hit the Nintendo Wii when the system was launched in 2006. The Wii version uses the Nintendo Wii controllers Mote and Nunchuk to improve the way the game is played, allowing greater sensitivity control than previously possible on home consoles.
The other two Far Cry titles that hit the consoles Predator (Xbox 360) and Evolution (Xbox). Evolution was a follow the instincts, while Predator included all new content, plus a bunch of fantastic new features and enhancements and a redesigned version of the game instincts. The Xbox 360's unified memory architecture and multiple CPU cores enable developers to dynamically create dramatic effects that were never possible before, such as water effects.
Jack Carver, the protagonist remains the same in all games, although its history has been expanded to Predator. Carver left the game become stronger, faster and more powerful through feral abilities that allow him to locate the enemy. Bertrand Helias, Predator Ubisoft's producer, says, "we have renewed artificial intelligence, better reaction times, [rapid] movements, better, more accurate use of the caps, options accompanying etc "
The most recent offer of Far Cry are in Africa. The game has forests, savannah and desert areas, and a world of continuous streaming games no load pauses. The developers announced that the game has a full 24 hours a day and night cycle, and you can choose whether to deal with certain tasks during the day or night. The game is impressive, and will be released later this year.
