Samuel Eto'o, finally made his official debut with Inter Milan, the reigning Serie A in a match against Lazio in the twenty-second Super Italian. Eto'o was not the only player to make his debut for the Nerazzurri. Diego Milito and Brazilian Lucio also made their first appearances for Inter. Although neither team scored in the first half, it is clear that Lazio took the initiative, the pace set by the Biancocelesti showed its superiority over Milan. Inter tried several times to create dangerous games, but even the constant attacks from the pairing of Eto'o and Milito were not enough to match the level brought by gambling opponents. Always alert and ready to defend itself, the region focused on the field players on Milan area as quickly as possible, with intend to conduct powerful shots for Inter's Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar. Inter, José Mourinho, was forced to change their team play, making several strategic replacements in midfield: the exchange of the Stankovic for Patrick Vieira and Mario Balotelli implementation of Thiago Motta. The changes were effective, as in the 78th minute Eto'o managed to approve the transfer of a target Balotelli.
