Memphis blues music started in the 1920s with musicians who lived in the Memphis area, as Frank Stokes, Sleepy John Estes, Furry Lewis and Memphis Minnie. This style of music is more popular in vaudeville and medicine shows through Memphis, Tennessee. Beale Street was an area in Memphis, where he made all major shows and music. The history of Beale Street has been detailed in many books over the past ten years, which has increased its popularity and appeal.
While most blues bands in Memphis, at the moment is based on guitars, jug bands there, so it was tremendously popular. A jug band is a group which centers around a jug player, while the other members play homemade instruments. Typically, the instruments are homemade ordinary objects that have been adapted or modified to make the sound. Examples are the low laundry, laundry, spoons, cup, and comb and tissue paper. When jug bands first came into the music scene, including mandolins or guitars that were made from the neck of the guitar that were later discarded subject large pumpkins. The pumpkins were made by flats on one side and then carving a hole in the side that has just been flattened.

At this point, many musicians ended in downtown the Memphis blues scene and the classic Memphis blues sound began to change.
BB King, Ike Turner, Howlin Wolf and Willie Nix were among the artists they did in West Memphis on Beale Street at this time and were responsible for a series of classic electric blues, rhythm and blues and rock and roll. They created a lot records in these genres for the Records Sun brand. These musicians had a strong influence on the blues at the moment and we can still see its impact on rock and roll in today.
