Seven reasons why the iPhone is more computer than phone
You had to be living in a cave for the past ten days to lose the clutter by the iPhone, and while itâ € ™ s been replaced by the Batman hype, I thought I'ma € ™ d share my experience of a week or more inches
Â
There have been plenty of articles written about the new 3G iPhone: Walt Mossberg, Gizmodo, Engadget and CNET, so I'ma ™ € No I'm going to take a test, but I say why itâ € ™ sa game changer and why itâ € ™ s most telephone equipment. On the basis of what David Pogue wrote about last week on the requests, leta € ™ s go a little further and talk about their use.
Â
First Instead, if you check out any of the tests listed above, youâ € ™ ll notice that the use of the phone comes last. Why? Good, as I said, this is more computer than the telephone. Itâ € ™ s what you do with it, and oh, by the way, you can make calls too. When I look at my usage over the past week, itâ € ™ s weighted about 80% of data / computer and telephone 20%, in any case, I think I'ma ™ € ll probably of data and percentage of a team with little more time. Wea € ™ ll see.
Â
And the roll call:
Â
# 1 crashes
Iâ € ™ ll get the negative of the way first. Sure, IA € ™ I had some BlackBerry restarts and accidents, but I'ma € ™ have had over the last week in iPhone I'ma € ™ ve had in recent months on my BlackBerry Curve. Thus -1 Â iPhone
Â
# 2 Application Shop
Itâ € ™ s only one place to get all products to iPhone and lots of applications, many of which are free, what really expand the use of the phone. And thata € ™ s the key, the Application Store is a conduit for adding features to your phone. Just as the team doesn € ™ t do much without the software, hardware and application software third has this phone to another level. The Store Uses 3
Â
So leta € ™ s talk about computer-like behavior and some of these applications they allow.
Â
# 3 Where are you
Loan for a second Boost Mobile and Kanye, I really donâ ™ € t have to ask this again. Loopt, shown at WWDC, running on other mobile platforms, but the iPhone really shines. Add your friends to their Loopt network and keeps track of where you are via GPS, as well as allowing you to share photos and messages, all without a call. Based Services 2

# 4 Music
The devices that play music everywhere have (on the iPod thank you very much) become almost everywhere, but the iPhone applications better accomplished with everyone. First, Pandora – If your IT department. may be trying to lock in the network – running on the iPhone. Once installed the application on my phone, using my Pandora's record in the same gave me access to all my stations that IA € ™ d been listening And my Mac has the same thumbs up / down feature so Pandora can keep learning about the type of music that I like and donâ € ™ t. Oh, and play for 3G and WiFi, so it really Pandora music on the go.
Â
Shazam, and I donâ ™ € t mean Captain Marvel. Instead, launch Shazam and hold up to radio / TV / speaker and Shazam will listen and identify the song. Now youâ € ™ re a touch of view prior purchase on iTunes. The music on the iPhone 3

# 5 Games
Taking full advantage of the accelerometer games as Crash Bandicoot and iPint (which incidentally is a great example of advergaming went well!) Allows users to control games by simply tilting and rotating the phone. Play definitely felt a phone-like, more like the experience as a PSP, a great way to kill time when youâ ™ €'re not making a call. Game Play 2

# 6 Social Networks
What your computer would be complete without social networking tools? And with the new iPhone AIM Chat came, as expected, itâ € ™ s connected to your iChat / AIM account so it uses the same record to provide access to their Friends lists.
Â
Recently updated (thanks to God, as the initial version was the light of the characteristics) is the Facebook application. Thus that chat and most of my main features of Facebook, all on the road, a winner. Staying Connected 3

# 7 E mail and calendar
Based on the Maca ™ € s already well-integrated email and calendar in Leopard, Apple's MobileMe € ™ s gives new Over the Air (OTA) synchronization, as well as corporate BlackBerry Enterprise Servers. Now, true, MobileMe had some problems in the vortex to change. Mac and new iPhone release and some users have had problems with syncing OTA, but my use has been great. And I love my calendar, email and contacts stay up to date through my computer, the Web and the iPhone. Sync OTA 1
Â
Iâ € ™ ll stop with seven reasons but the list could continue, mainly due to large applications, use the hardware and software that Apple built. Itâ € ™ sa game changer in my opinion. Why? Because itâ € ™ s less phone and more information about the device. Being able to work, play, connect, mail, etc. virtually wherever you are is very powerful. And while other devices that were here first, the iPhone just gets a bit more upright.
